What the game sends
IRONWAKE can send a few facts about your play to this site, only if you allow it in the game. Here is the whole list.
What is sent
Only after you allow it in the game, and only this:
- your Steam nickname
- your total play time
- the ending you reached (A or B)
- how many of the 7 clues you found
- which way you chose to get through the finale
- when you first and last played (the time is taken by the server)
What is not sent
Your SteamID is never sent: the game sends a one-way hash of it instead, and the server cannot turn it back. No email address, no data about your computer. The server does not store your IP address.
Why
So the developer can see who plays the game and how people get through it. Steam only shows a number of players.
How long
Up to 90 days after the last time you played. After that the record is deleted.
How to withdraw
Turn the option off in the game settings: your record is deleted at once and nothing more is sent. Or write to [email protected] and it will be deleted by hand.
Who stores it
The data is kept in Upstash (Redis) and served by Vercel, which host this site for us. Nobody else gets it.
